The sudden suspension of cricket across the globe owing to the coronavirus pandemic has created a lot of problems for athletes as this has disrupted their normal routines. Bangladesh cricket has also followed suit with the worldwide trend of calling off domestic activities in order to curb the rise of COVID-19 cases.
The need for self-quarantining tends to cause stress among individuals and former Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim has also publicly declared difficulty in adhering to the protocols of self-isolation. Mushfiqur has said he is determined to find a way of training all by himself indoors to ensure he doesn’t compromise on his fitness.
“I am thinking of how to stay without batting. I’ll do gym and running Insha Allah. I don’t know what others will do, but I’ll do it myself,” Mushfiqur stated.
