Islamabad United donates 1 million to lockdown fund

The world is going through a grave danger as the outbreak of Coronavirus has suspended many activities. Like the rest of the world, the situation isn’t any better in Pakistan as confirmed cases have gone over the 800 mark and is expected to get a further surge in the next few days.

Sindh being the biggest contributor to this figure has announced a lockdown for 15 days and Punjab has followed the same path. However, it also brings a plethora of difficulties for the marginalized section of the society. Nevertheless, Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) franchise Islamabad United has set a great example by coming forward to contribute towards the lockdown fund of Sindh government.

The two-time PSL champions have announced a donation of 1 million to this emergency fund. Not only that, the franchise will be actively involved in running awareness campaigns. Moreover, cricketers belonging to all the franchises are spreading awareness messages for people to stay safe in these times.
