Since its inception in 2016, Pakistan Super League (PSL) has unearthed fantastic bowling talents for Pakistan. Therefore, the growth of many bowlers can easily be witnessed. The currently halted edition of the 20-over competition wasn’t any different as the tournament provided some fantastic bowling performances.
Reviewing the bowling show of PSL 2020, former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja went on to pick Lahore Qalandars’ Shaheen Afridi as the best bowler of the tournament. The cricketer turned commentator believes that the left-arm pacer is the most improved bowler who can make the ball talk. Highlighting Shaheen’s ability to deliver both with old and new ball, Ramiz called him an exciting quick.
Playing 9 contests of the tourney, Shaheen claimed 13 wickets to end the league stage as the second-highest wicket-taker of the competition. Managing an impressive economy of 7.02, he averaged a shade under 19 which clearly speaks volume of the talent he carries. It remains to be seen how he fares in the knock-outs of PSL 2020, which are likely to take place in November.
