One of the highlights of the currently halted edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was the prowess of Haider Ali. With a fearless approach, the rising batting sensation took on many bowlers. Doing so, he was able to accumulate 239 runs in 9 innings at 29.87. Moreover, a strike-rate of close to 160 allowed him to draw a lot of attention.
Recently, former Pakistan captain Aamer Sohail came forward to share his verdict on the star batsman of Peshawar Zalmi. The cricketer turned expert is of the view that Haider contains a plethora of talent, but it needs to be polished properly via him featuring regularly in the first-class cricket.
Sohail further said Haider was lucky to get selected for PSL ahead of other better batters. However, he advised him to go back to the drawing board and work on the technical side of the game. The veteran of 47 Tests and 156 ODIs added that if Haider corrects his batting issues, he has what it takes to become a proper asset for the national team.
