The worsening health crisis due to the rising number of coronavirus cases has caused people to undergo self-isolation to curb the spread of the disease. With no activity to engage themselves in, public figures can now be observed to interacting with fans on different social media platforms.
In line with this trend, former Australian batsman Dean Jones also joined the bandwagon as fans flooded his timeline with a bunch of questions. The beloved ‘Prof Deano’ was asked by one of his fans whether he would ever consider coaching Pakistan to which the Aussie curtly replied that this will never happen.
The Karachi Kings head coach’s short and brief answer in the negative perhaps points towards the way in which Misbah-ul-Haq was appointed the head coach and chief selector of Pakistan. It was reported that Dean Jones had also applied for the job but it was ultimately given to Misbah despite the 45-year-old not fulfilling the criteria in terms of experience in the coaching capacity.
