Williamson’s open letter to frontline medical staff

It would not be wrong to say that the world is currently going through an unprecedented level of danger as almost all kinds of have activities have been suspended. Amid the chaos, the medical staff across the globe is working as hard as one can to fight the outbreak of COVID-19. As a result, they have emerged as the heroes of the world and not just one country.

Therefore, people are paying tribute to them during the ongoing pandemic. The recent man to enter this list is none other than New Zealand captain Kane Williamson who has written an open letter to frontline medical staff to extend his gratitude for their services during the prevailing situation

The veteran of 80 Tests, 151 ODIs and 60 T20Is said that all of us are grateful to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who are fighting a health crisis which hasn’t been witnessed before. He also compared the profession of the medical staff with athletes, highlighting that the real pressure is working to save lives.

It was great to see a cricketer coming up with this sort of letter. In a tumultuous period, Kane’s letter blew a wave of fresh air and lifted the spirits of many people who are confident to end the outbreak of COVID-19.
