Despite the fears of COVID-19, England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes is hopeful that Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place in the upcoming month. Talking to a local news network, Ben Stokes said that IPL is the next competitive cricket he is going to play.
The all-rounder feels that even if the tournament is uncertain, he wants to prepare his body in these 3 weeks for the tough cricket. "I have to get my head round that I am playing even though in the back of my mind I know I am probably not. I have to build up and get myself physically in a position that if it does happen, I am good to go”, Stokes build on.
Currently, with the global flight status suspended world-wide and conditions looking ominous in the UK, ECB will also have a key role to play in deciding whether it will send its players if the tournament goes on as per plan suggests.
