Pakistan recently celebrated the 28th anniversary of their iconic World Cup win, which came under the influential leadership of Imran Khan. Pakistan defeated England in the grand finale in front of a record attendance as the Green Shirts were crowned world champions, kick-starting their successful era in the sport.
Apart from the wonderful memories of the tremendous achievement, former Pakistan opener Ramiz Raja revisited a rather painful moment from the epic final clash against England in 1992. Having participated in Pakistan’s splendid victory, Ramiz looked back and regretted the fact that he was dismissed early during his side’s innings.
Taking to Twitter to show his frustration on his dismissal for a cheap score, Ramiz maintained that he was a victim of a wrongful umpiring decision from Steve Bucknor. Ruing his luck, Ramiz stated his departure off the bowling of Derek Pringle still left a bad taste in his mouth.
