Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar is one of the most renowned faces in cricket as he is an incumbent member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. He holds the record of officiating in the most number of games at international level since making his debut in an ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in 2000.
Recently, the coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc in several countries around the globe with Pakistan also facing a health crisis due to the rapid rate of infections. Amidst these uncertain times, Dar has announced he will offer free food to unemployed people in need during the ongoing pandemic.
“During this lockdown, people have become jobless. I own a restaurant named Dar’s Delighto on PIA Road in Lahore. People who are jobless especially can come there and eat food for free,” he can be seen saying in the video message.
