Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his wish to see the addition of two new teams in the highly valued Pakistan Super League (PSL). The cricketer turned commentator is of the view that a team, managed by him, needs to be inducted to swell the charm of the tournament.
The veteran of 46 Tests, 163 ODIs and 15 T20Is further said that having a massive fame will aid him in getting the needed investment for a new PSL franchise. Not only that, he urged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to aid him in winning the bidding process. Earlier, Shoaib expressed his wish to have the new franchise named ‘Rawalpindi Express’ which would create a massive rivalry between Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
“I am probably the most loved guy in Pakistan and across the border. People know me well and I will spread PSL’s brand value across the world and will get investment from all parts if I have a PSL team”, said by the 44-year old.
