Mohammad Hafeez, the all-rounder, is counted among the most useful cricketers of the country. With a career stretched across 18 years, Hafeez represented his country in more than 350 Internationals. While the stylish batter was inconsistent, but he did produce many magical displays to help Pakistan win a plethora of contests.
However, former Pakistan paceman Tanvir Ahmed seems completely unimpressed with Hafeez. The right-arm quick, who played a total of 8 International games for Pakistan, believes that the 39-year old has achieved nothing in his career and remained a mediocre player. Tanvir’s comments came after Hafeez took an indirect shot at Sharjeel Khan while becoming a part of the debate revolving around potential comeback of the aggressive batsman.
“Hafeez needs to improve his own performance and prove that he is a top-class cricketer. Despite playing for such a long time, he has achieved nothing in his career. Playing for 10-12 years is not itself a major achievement,” the 41-year old said while lashing out at Hafeez.
