Indian domestic giant Wasim Jaffer reigns supreme as the most prolific run-scorer in the history of the Ranji Trophy. His remarkable record in first-class cricket is truly unparalleled as he recently bowed out of the competitive arena finishing with a plethora of runs under his belt.
Amidst the coronavirus shutdown, Jaffer was observed to be interacting with fans in a candid Q/A session, which also featured an interesting revelation about former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. The star keeper-batsman currently boasts a net worth of around INR 800 crore but in the initial phase of his career, he was happy with a meager amount.
Relating the details of his favourite memory of Dhoni, Jaffer shared that the 38-year-old glovesman was so simple that he was content with just earning INR 30 lakhs and hoped to retire quickly. It is safe to say what then transpired throughout the course of Dhoni’s career was perhaps beyond his imagination.
