After remaining a discarded player for some time, Salman Butt was finally roped in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as a replacement of all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez when the veteran player got injured in the last edition of the 20-over tournament.
Representing Lahore in 2 seasons of the T20 gala, the opening batsman only got a handful of games in which he failed to impress people. However, he was recently found grateful to Lahore Qalandars for respecting the performances of the domestic cricket and giving him a chance in Pakistan’s highly admired T20 competition.
“I will always be grateful to Lahore Qalandars for giving me a chance. I had good performances in the National T20 tournament for past 3 years, but no one picked me. When I asked other franchises about them, they said they wanted pious people and so there was no place for a sinner like me,” said by the former captain who represented Pakistan in 135 International games.
