After facing misery for the last 4 seasons, Lahore was expected to produce a better show in the 2020 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Their start was horrible as they lost the positions of strength to lose the first 3 games. However, the tables were turned miraculously well after that as Lahore produced awe-inspiring outings to qualify for the knock-out stage of the tournament.
Recently, the newly appointed captain Sohail Akhtar looked back at the currently halted T20 gala of Pakistan. The hard-hitting batsman extended his gratitude to management for supporting the unit through thick and thin. He also revealed that he was given a lot of confidence as the skipper of the side which aided him in managing things well.
Sohail’s own performance wasn’t bad at all as the 34-year old cricketer accumulated 236 runs across 10 innings of PSL 2020. Managing an impressive average of 39.33, Sohail produced a strike-rate of 122.91 while scoring 2 half-centuries in the 6-team event.
