South African cricketing legend Hashim Amla recently spent his time as the batting mentor former Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Peshawar Zalmi. The Proteas great’s tips proved to play a crucial role in the success of Zalmi as they managed to make it to the semi-finals stage of the competition.
Reflecting on his experience in the country, Amla revealed he felt great to be involved in a major step towards the revival of top-flight cricket in Pakistan. He extended good wishes to the fate of the PSL in the coming years and hoped it would do wonders to the state of Pakistan cricket.
“The biggest aspect is international cricket coming back to Pakistan and Pakistan has always had a major role in cricket, so it was brilliant to experience the wonderful country. It has been really nice to be here again and I hope that the PSL goes from strength to strength every year. All the foreign players have really enjoyed it,” Amla said.
