The world has come to a standstill owing to the coronavirus pandemic, which has continued to contribute to the prevalent global health crisis. Amidst the distressing times that have enveloped the world, sportspersons are stepping up to donate and help the needy as much as they can.
From Pakistan, renowned all-rounder Shahid Afridi has been at the forefront of relief efforts, personally handing out ration items and disinfectant soaps and sanitizers to the underprivileged. His humanitarian cause has received support from a wide section of the cricket fraternity including players from across the border in India.
After Harbhajan Singh had praised Afridi for his valuable social work in these tough circumstances, flamboyant cricketer Yuvraj Singh has also lauded his Pakistani counterpart’s gesture. Yuvraj took to Twitter to pen a heartfelt message for Afridi and asked others to make donations to this noble initiative. Afridi reciprocated the kind words by expressing good wishes for Yuvraj’s own foundation as well.
