Coming to the fifth edition of the highly admired Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars have continued their tradition of unleashing impressive pacers. After Haris Rauf, it was the turn of Dilbar Hussain to garner admiration from all with a sturdy show in the 20-over tournament. An arsenal occupied with deceptive slower balls, effective bouncers and deadly yorkers saw Dilbar making a good case for himself.
Importantly, he was able to catch the attention of the head coach Misbah-ul-Haq who is on hunt to finalize the best possible squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. Applauding the qualities of the emerging pacer, the 45-year old believes that Dilbar has the ingredients to become a successful T20 bowler.
In the currently halted T20 gala of Pakistan, Dilbar grabbed 7 wickets in 8 games at 27. His economy of 8.10 on true batting surfaces also showed great potential. Earlier, Ramiz Raja also showered heaps of praise on the right-arm quick and included him in his team for the mega-event in Australia.
