Wasim Akram calls Pakistan “Brazil” of the World Cricket

Pakistan Cricket team’s legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram called Pakistan as the “Brazil” of world cricket during a conversation with Dean Jones. The two cricketers had a live call with each other where they discussed the peaks of Pakistan cricket.

Jones started the conversation by saying, “You’re (Pakistan) the talent factory. We in Australia always used to say that Pakistan has so much talent, it’s just the matter of how you harness it.". Impressed by it, Wasim further added, “Pakistan cricket is like the “Brazil” of World Cricket.

The fast bowler feels that the top footballers from the streets including Pele, Kaka, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Neymar went on to become the legends of the game. The same is the case with Pakistan, which produces raw talent coming out of street cricket. Both cricketers also talked about the magical winning moments of the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
