After getting hammered by Sri Lanka and Australia, Pakistan looked back at the seniors Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik who were roped into the national side for the home series against Bangladesh. Without any doubt, both the all-rounders produced a fine show which aided the green team in downing the Bengal Tigers.
Reflecting on the scenario, former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has advised both the all-rounders to gracefully retire from the International cricket. The cricketer turned commentator didn’t downplay their achievements for the national team but added that it is time for them to make room for the fresh blood. He also advised the management to look beyond the senior duo and give maximum chances to young cricketers to prepare for the upcoming challenges.
Earlier, Mohammad Yousuf also dejected the return of Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez stating that the head coach Misbah-ul-Haq took a step backward by going back to the veteran cricketers.
