The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be conducting a fitness test for players via video link on April 20 and 21. The prevalent coronavirus situation has prevented the board from arranging physical fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy.
Pakistan’s head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq had earlier communicated to his players to keep meeting the high fitness standards while staying indoors and taking the necessary safety precautions to combat the spread of COVID-19 infections.
“You should be disciplined and strive hard to remain fit,” the message from the PCB read to the players. “A new fitness regime has been formed which provides equal chances to all players,” it added.
