Throughout the course of history, cricket has seen a lot of sensational voices swelling the charm of this iconic game. However, it was always hard to match the prowess of the former West Indian pacer Michael Holding who scaled unprecedented heights of success both as a cricketer and as a commentator.
His knowledge about the game, ability to dish out intelligent analysis and a spectacular expression makes him one of the best commentators ever to enter this trade. However, the veteran of 60 Tests and 102 ODIs has recently decided not to stretch his commentary career for a long time.
Reflection on the decision, Holding said that he’s not 36 or 46 so he will have to make a call. His original plan was to bid farewell in the next few months. However, the 66-year old added that the ongoing pandemic suspending all the cricketing activities urged him to enlarge the period, which can last till 2021 if the running year gets destroyed by the outbreak of COVID-19.
