With the ongoing cricket period being blessed with a plethora of sensational batters, it is only natural to see a debate on the best batsman of the world. The likes of Steve Smith, Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Kane Williamson and Joe Root are always found garnering massive admiration.
Recently, former Australian cricketer Michael Slater joined this debate while calling the Indian skipper the best of the lot. It happened while the cricketer turned commentator was doing a video on Instagram and was asked to pick the better batter among Babar, Virat and Root.
He believes that Kohli has worked on every single aspect of his game which makes him such a steely-eyed competitor. He also lauded the captaincy of the 31-year old player and considered it different to all the past skippers of the men in blue. It is important to note that Kohli is the only batsman to average in excess of 50 across the three formats of the game.
