It would not be wrong to say that the world is currently going through an unprecedented level of danger as almost all kinds of have activities have been suspended. The mass outbreak of COVID-19 has now hit more than 200 countries. As a result, more than 1.5 million people have caught the virus while approximately 90000 deaths have been recorded.
Amid all the chaos, former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar came forward with a laudable suggestion. He proposed a three-match ODI series between arch-rivals India and Pakistan to raise funds for the fight against Coronavirus. The 44-year old is of the opinion that the two Asian giants battling against each other would raise massive funds to be used for the victims of COVID-19 in both the countries.
Importantly, he highlighted the fact that fans from both sides would easily accept any result. Finally, he added that the series would see India relishing a ton of Babar Azam or Pakistan applauding Virat Kohli’s centuries as both teams will be considered winners irrespective of what happens on the field.
