India’s top-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara’s deal with England’s County club Gloucestershire has been canceled amidst Coronavirus fears. Pujara, who was signed up by the club to play 6 matches, now has to abandon the deal as there will be no cricket played in England at least till 28th May 2020.
The club expressed the grieve of this cancellation in a statement. “We will also now miss the opportunity to see Cheteshwar Pujara play for the mighty Glos in the 2020 season which we know our supporters were really looking forward to".
There is currently no cricket being played in the world as the pandemic has suspended all the sporting activities across the globe. The events like PSL and IPL are already postponed while the T20I World Cup is also in doubt.
