England’s limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan has expressed a lot of admiration for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He believes that the franchise is run by professionals and everything from owners right down to the young players is likable.
He highlighted the fact about how KKR was able to record a turnaround and went on to become one of the most consistent teams of India’s glamorous T20 competition. Not only that, but the T20 specialist is also of the opinion that KKR backs their players always which allows them to express themselves properly on the ground.
However, he is yearning to play for KKR in the 20-over tournament and rub shoulders with the likes of Dinesh Karthik and Brendon McCullum who are a part of the management. It is important to note that the 33-year old cricketer has played 285 T20 games to accumulate a total of 6321 runs. Moreover, a strike-rate of 132.01 speaks volumes of what he brings to the table.
