The former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar nullifies the chances of the Indo-Pak series in his video conversation with Ramiz Raja. Recently, Shoaib Akhtar proposed an India-Pakistan bilateral series to raise for COVID-19.
However, Gavaskar completely turned down the proposal and sarcastically said, “There are more chances of snowfall in Lahore than an India-Pakistan bilateral series”. The 70-year old feel both teams have minimal chances of playing a series in the near future, but they continue to meet in ICC tournaments.
“Both teams will keep on meeting in World Cups and ICC tournaments, but a series between them seems unlikely right now,” the 70-year old added. Before this, Kapil Dev and few other cricketers have also backlashed Akhtar for the proposal.
