Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has incurred financial loss while not playing against India in the 5-year cricket cycle. With the deals signed with the broadcasters, no bilateral series between the two countries resulted in the financial setback.
A source from PCB revealed that PCB lost $ 90 million after it failed to conduct a bilateral series against the arch-rivals due to the political tensions. Moreover, the source also disclosed that PCB might struggle in the future to get sponsors or the broadcasters on board amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
PCB chairman Ehsan Mani recently said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) can survive without playing against India. He said that Pakistan doesn’t need India to cover its cost. Therefore, regardless of the financial loss, PCB is unbothered by the lack of series against the arch-rivals.
