After taking some time away from Test cricket, England all-rounder Moeen Ali is ready to return to the purest format of the game. The utility cricketer missed the red-ball games in England’s tours to New Zealand and South Africa. However, he continued to feature in the limited-overs cricket for England.
Recently, the 32-year old cricketer revealed that he is now available for selection in the Test team. Nevertheless, Moeen added that he would like to record a strong performance in the domestic games to win his place back. Needless to say, the southpaw will have to wait for it to happen as the outbreak of COVID-19 has brought the world to a standstill position.
“I think I’d probably be ready now, to be honest. Clearly, I will have to do well and win a spot back on merit. In terms of being available and it is obviously in hypothetical terms, if there was a Test tomorrow then I’d say yes for it,” said by Moeen Ali as he ended the self-imposed exile from Test cricket.
