While the ongoing pandemic has brought the cricketing world to a standstill position, International Cricket Council (ICC) is confident to host the upcoming edition of the all-important T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Australia later this year.
For this reason, many cricket pundits are picking their favorite teams to win the mega-event down under. Former England captain Nasser Hussain recently became a part of this debate by locating quality sides like England, India and hosts Australia favorite to steal the thunder of the showdown in Australia.
Explaining the reason for his picks, the veteran of 96 Tests and 88 ODIs said that England has the needed firepower and would be continuously focused on T20 cricket if they get some sort of cricket in this summer – an element which would better their preparation. Moreover, the cricketer turned commentator added that Australia being the hosts knows their conditions better than anyone else and India with all the experience would pose a serious challenge for all the teams of the competition.
