The fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) abruptly ended in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic with the knockout stages of the tournament forced to be postponed indefinitely. With no date of resumption currently under discussion, a cloud of uncertainty hangs over the fate of the PSL.
One of the young stars to emerge from PSL 5 was teenage batting sensation Haider Ali, who stamped his authority on the competitive arena with his terrific strokeplay. The right-handed batsman struck some delightful shots in his frequent heroics with the bat.
Haider was one of the leading run-getters for Peshawar Zalmi as he smashed 239 runs at a high strike rate of 158.27. Missing his belligerent form with the bat and getting a chance to play in front of jam-packed stadiums, Haider recently penned a tweet depicting his emotions under the current state of lockdown.
