While the T20I format isn’t as old as Tests and ODIs, it has still managed to dish out a plethora of sensational cricketers. Recently, this pile of talent was reviewed by the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer who made his T20I team considering the current best players, picking only one player from a country.
For the opening role, he went for David Warner and Babar Azam while installing Kane Williamson at the all-important third position. The next three spots were filled with the prowess of AB de Villiers, Jos Buttler and Andre Russell. Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan were picked as the two spinners of the team along with Sandeep Lamichhane who rose to fame by plying his trade infamous T20 leagues.
Coming to the pace department, the 42-year old included Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga to complete his team. Important to note, he gave the leadership duties to David Warner ahead of Kane Williamson and AB de Villiers.
