CA expected to face huge financial loss amidst COVID-19 pandemic

Cricket Australia is once again bothered by the impending financial setbacks if the board fails to conduct the 5-match Test series against India in the latter half of this year. Amidst the pandemic, the chances are there that the ICC T20I World Cup and even the Test series between the two countries get postponed.

Cricket Australia (CA) has already lost 12.6 million Australian Dollars due to the ongoing pandemic and the figure is expected to cross 3 figures if the situation does not improve. According to the board, they are looking for creative options to somehow conduct the series- and one of the options included the axing of the Test match against Afghanistan in November.

India holding the biggest audience in the world cricket will help the Australian cricket board (CA) to cover up the financial losses. Recently, Cricket Australia also opted for the pay cuts of the players and the staff in order to manage their out of control expenses.
