The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the ODI tour of Netherlands to an indefinite date after the Dutch government has banned all events in the country, including sporting contests. The Dutch ban on events will last until September 1 owing to the deteriorating coronavirus situation.
Pakistan were scheduled to take on the Netherlands for the first-ever bilateral series between the two nations starting July 4. All three ODIs were supposed to take place in Amstelveen, however the COVID-19 crisis has forced the boards to mutually postpone the encounters.
“It is sad that we have to postpone our July tour to the Netherlands, but in the prevailing circumstances, this is absolutely the right thing to do as human lives are far more precious and valuable than a cricket match or an event,” PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said.
