The Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma has expressed his desire to win the World Cup for his side. The right-handed batsman, who was the highest run-scorer during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, said that he wants to win the mega-event for his side.
"Winning the World Cup is a dream of all us, together. I want to win World Cups. Of course, every time you go out there, you want to win every game. But the World Cup is something that you know is the pinnacle of everything. I want to win World Cups," Rohit said.
The right-handed batsman was part of the world-cup winning side of 2007 and later the Champions-trophy winning side of 2013. However, since then Indian has not been able to win a single ICC tournament despite some incredible individual performances. Rohit also said that ICC should make sure that each team gets proper time for preparation before the ICC T20I World Cup.
