ECB postpones cricket season till July

England Cricket Board (ECB) has decided to postpone the cricket season in the country up to 1 July amidst the worsening scenario of the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, the board decided to postpone the cricket season till 28th May.

England’s domestic cricket season is scheduled to start on 12th July, however, no decision has been taken on this yet. Moreover, England and West Indies Test series could see a delay in its scheduling.

The Hundred format is also likely to be postponed for the next year. ECB will also meet in the near future where it will decide about the International commitments of the English team. Currently, the situation of Coronavirus in England has not improved and with the global flight system suspended, it is very difficult to resume cricketing summaries.
