England’s county cricket club Yorkshire and Ravichandran Ashwin have mutually canceled their contract amidst the global pandemic. With England’s cricket season delayed till 1st July 2020, it is very much on the cards that the cricket in England might get postponed or shifted to other parts of the world.
Ashwin signed up for the club back in January 2020 and was expected to play all most all the matches for the Yorkshire based County club. Remember, Ashwin has previously represented Worcestershire and Nottinghamshire in the past.
"Firstly, I really appreciate the players' understanding of this matter. We have been in regular contact with the players and their agents throughout this Covid pandemic. They have been extremely professional and appreciate the uncertainty facing counties at present," Yorkshire's Director of Cricket, Martyn Moxon said.
