Australia’s Test captain Tim Paine disclosed that how financially struggling Cricket Australia (CA) is seeking for the options to host India-Australia series later this year as this series might solve much of their problems. The Australian cricket board has already delayed the central contracts of the players and staff amidst the pandemic.
Moreover, Paine revealed that the board is thinking about all the possible solutions to conduct the series which also includes using chartered planes to bring India to Australia and keep the team in full isolation.
“I know there have been some early talks with Cricket Australia and the government around the potential of what could be done, chartering planes and getting them in isolation when they get here to make sure that we can get India here,” Paine said.
Furthermore, Paine also talked about the financial issues of the cricket board and said that players are ready to accept the fact but the board must explain its financial position.
