Bollywood icon Irrfan Khan passed away at the age of 53 after suffering from a colon infection. The veteran actor had been enduring health complications since 2018 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
A bastion of versatility and artistic excellence, Irrfan’s death has been by a wave of sadness all across India and beyond. Amidst the somber mood that engulfed the nation, the cricket fraternity also paid tribute to the prolific actor’s diverse body of work and his humble character.
Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar was left heartbroken by the huge loss to the film industry and revealed that he had watched all of the late cinematic star’s movies. Indian skipper Virat Kohli has sung praises of Irrfan’s work and claimed that he managed to develop a connection with everyone in a unique manner.
The love for Irrfan was also expressed by Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar, who termed him as a “bundle of talent” that inspired the masses.
