The outbreak of COVID-19 has limited all the cricketers to their residencies. As a result, their activities have been minimized. Therefore, most of the athletes are engaging in sharing their thoughts about the best teams of different formats consisting of special cricketers.
Recently, Sri Lankan batsman Dinesh Chandimal reviewed the Test cricket and picked the best possible team for the red-ball cricket. It is important to note that the criterion of his side was that he could pick cricketers with whom he has played or watched them live.
For opening the innings, Chandimal picked the iconic duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Alastair Cook. The 34-year old cricketer formed his middle-order by including the likes of Kumar Sangakkara, Virat Kohli and Brian Lara. At 6th and 7th position, he included Mahela Jayawardene, whom he appointed the captain of the side, and all-rounder Jacques Kallis.
Coming to bowling, the dexterous cricketer opted for the class of Dale Steyn and backed it with the prowess of Chaminda Vaas. Moreover, his spin department consisted of Sri Lankan legendary cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath.
