Scotland cricket board is optimistic about hosting New Zealand and Australia behind the closed doors in June. The two neighboring nations are scheduled to tour Scotland in June for ODI and T20 games, however, amidst the global pandemic, the chances look unlikely.
Scotland is taking all possible measures around its International stadium The Grange Edinburgh in order to host the series behind closed doors. Recently, New Zealand’s first official tour of Europe for series against the Netherlands was also canceled due to the viral outbreak.
In case of the cancellation of the New Zealand and Australia tour of Scotland, the Scottish board is expected to lose 250,000 pounds. This could be a big financial setback for Scotland. Therefore, the board is seeking every possible solution to conduct the tours.
