The cricket community has suffered a lot during the on-going Coronavirus pandemic. With the global suspension of cricket, the cricket boards, players, and the fans are going through the tough times. Under this situation, Pakistan is also skeptical of its future tours.
Pakistan’s tour of Netherlands is already been stood as canceled. On the other hand, its series against Ireland in July and England in August is in peril. These are the only scheduled tours of Pakistan before the ICC T20 World Cup. If Pakistan does not manage to play in the United Kingdom this summer, it might have to walk into the mega-event without much cricket at its back.
Adding salts to the wounds, the cricket board might also suffer huge financial set-back while dealing with the crisis. PCB has also lost a lot of money while not being able to complete the final round of PSL due to the viral outbreak. However, Ehsan Mani, the chairman of PCB, assured that the players and staff will get full salaries till the contracts expire in June.
