Steve Smith, the proficient batsman of Australia, is counted among the best modern-day cricketers of the world. Be it red-ball or white-ball cricket, the right-hander comes across as a major challenge for all the bowlers who would always need to put a strenuous effort to dismiss Smith. Therefore, it is natural to see him scoring heaps of runs in International cricket.
Recently, the former Australian captain was lauded by the English all-rounder Ben Stokes who thinks that Smith is on a different level when it comes to batting. Playing against him regularly in the International cricket and sharing a dressing room with him in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Stokes was able to detect a unique approach with which Smith goes about his cricket.
It is important to note that the 30-year old has more than 12000 runs in the International circuit. He boasts a batting average of 62.84 in Test cricket which comes 42.46 and 29.60 when it comes to ODIs and T20I matches respectively.
