Indian speedster Mohammad Shami reveals that he thought of committing suicide back in 2018 when he was suffering from personal issues. The speedster was accused by his wife of domestic violence and later Shami had to went under the trials.
“I think if my family had not supported me back then I would have lost my cricket. I thought of committing suicide three times during that period due to severe stress and personal problems. I was not thinking about cricket at all. We were living on the 24th floor. They (family) were scared I might jump from the balcony”- Shami said.
The fast bowler said that cricket training helped him battle his personal problem. Later that year Shami performed pretty well during the Test series between Australia and India and since then he has become an important part of the Indian team.
