The 2020 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League will commence this year on November 19 after the completion of the T20 World Cup in Australia. The start of the T10 League is subject to government clearance in due course as the world is currently in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic.
The COVID-19 crisis has already caused major changes to the international cricket calendar leading to the postponement of several series while the fate of the T20 World Cup also hangs in uncertainty. It remains to be seen whether the virus-induced health concerns will subside well before preparations for the T10 League get underway.
The 10-overs format has become a popular phenomenon in cricket after it was first introduced in 2017. The current champions of the league are Maratha Arabians, led by Dwayne Bravo, who defeated Deccan Gladiators in the final to take the title.
