The former South African captain Faf du Plessis, who stepped down from the leadership role, has expressed his eagerness to play all 3 formats for his country.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the speculations rose over the future of Faf’s career for South Africa. However, the right-handed batsman cleared the queries in his recent interview and said that he is keen on playing all 3 formats for at least the 2020-21 season. However, with the current pandemic, one is not sure how much cricket will be played in these 2 years.
"I still love playing for the Proteas. I still see myself adding huge value"- he quoted. "I am extremely motivated and keen to play in all three formats. This time away from the game has made sure that the hunger is still there for me and that is a big thing for players, to really still love what you do."- Faf said.
