Hafeez urges media to show stories of people recovered from virus

The coronavirus crisis has caused an insane amount of destruction around the globe. Millions of people have been affected by the rapid spread of the disease while millions more continue to be drastically impacted by the economic implications of the virus-enforced lockdowns.

Amidst these distressing times, professional sport has also come to a halt with the prospects of its resumption very bleak in the near future. In light of the ongoing pandemic, Pakistan’s senior all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez came up with a rather interesting suggestion to uplift the spirits of the masses.

The 39-year-old rightly pointed out that headlines in the media industry had been dominated by news of people dying in the past several weeks whereas many people have simultaneously recovered as well. He thus urged the media to responsibly highlight the lives of the recovered individuals in order to ensure a positive mindset.
