Mohammad Mahmudullah, the all-rounder of Bangladesh, is one of the most experienced cricketers of the country. Representing Bangladesh in 49 Tests, 188 ODIs and 87 T20Is, the quality cricketer has scored over 7500 International runs. Not only that, he went on to pick 150 wickets while proving his all-round utility for the national team.
Recently, his skills were lauded by his skipper Mashrafe Mortaza who went on to draw a parallel between him and former Indian batsman VVS Laxman by stating that Mahmudullah gets runs when it matters the most. He also highlighted that Mahmudullah was always ready to serve the need of the team.
The senior pro believes that the right-handed batsman could have achieved a much better batting record by batting up the order, but he preferred to do the finishing job for the unit – a thing with which Bangladesh struggled earlier. It is important to note that the opening batsman Tamim Iqbal earlier landed accolades on the 34-year old cricketer while speaking of his importance for the national team.
