Bravo feels current West Indies T20 side better than 2016

West Indies are the current World T20 title-holders but their abysmal ranking in the shortest format does not paint a positive picture. They are currently placed at No. 9 in the ICC T20I Team Rankings, depicting a sorry state of affairs for the white-ball unit.

Despite the obvious frailties in their T20 setup, veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo believes West Indies is a stronger team than the side that claimed the prestigious T20 trophy in 2016. Bravo praised the batting depth of the Caribbean side, pointing out that several power-hitters were part of the lineup.

“I'm just in awe of our batting line-up, and I said to the guys, I said listen, I think this team is actually better than our World-Cup-winning team, and that is no joke, because at the end of the day, you have batting all the way down to No. 10,” Bravo told a major cricket publication.
