Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg has called for a four-Test series between Pakistan and India to extinguish the hunger of cricket-starved fans amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Hogg claimed that once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, the World Test Championship should be sidelined to pave the way for more traditional rivalries to take center stage.
He felt it would make more sense to cancel Australia’s home series against India and introduce an Ashes contest instead. “Scrap this summer’s India against Australia five-match series and have the Ashes played instead," Hogg suggested.
"But where does that leave India? They will play Pakistan in a four-match Test series, with two matches in India and the other two in Pakistan, over the Christmas period. There are many reasons for it. Kohli and Babar, who is the best out of those two? Well, that will be proven in this series,” Hogg claimed.
