After winning 8 of their 9 games, Netherlands stormed into the main event of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia and head coach Ryan Campbell is in no mood to take the foot off the pedal. It was his pacers who starred with the bowl and this is the exact mantra he wants to follow for the main event.
Reflecting on the past success and future opportunities, Ryan Campbell recently spoke to the International Cricket Council (ICC) as he backed the pacers to make their presence felt and help the Netherlands qualify for the main event. Placed in Group B, Netherlands will have to battle the prowess of Bangladesh, the passion of Namibia and the skills of Scotland.
However, the former Australian and Hong Kong cricketer believes that the conditions in Hobart will suit his pacers to dismantle the other participating sides. Moreover, he admitted that the side would be under immense pressure as a bad tournament eventually reflects on the livelihood of the players. Nevertheless, he is confident about his team managing things in a professional manner.
